WERE YOU AT THE GREAT CLEVELAND vrs TAFT FOOTBALL GAME IN 1968?

2010  THE YEAR OF VALLEY ADVENTURES

Today was one of those days when so many things related to The Museum came down,  that the need for a work-space and headquarters for The Museum was demonstrated as paramount. A bag full of Valley memorability arrived from Mark and Marlene Davis of Chatsworth, a much needed financial donation arrived, Gary Fredburg's and Fred Berk's newest memorability contributions had to be cataloged and meetings arranged on behalf of The Museum for next week.
Just in time to energize me, I opened a package from Fred Berk with this wonderful football program inside, a gift from the rare paper-goods collector Buzz Kinninmont.
The art of football programs, along with orange crate labels, has to rank somewhere at the top of pop art graphics! I hope you got to see this game, or at least hear about it from 42 years ago. If not, thanks to Buzz Kinninmont, the graphics are now part of your collection in the Archives of The Museum of the San Fernando Valley.
