The Art World and the San Fernando Valley lost an important sculptor and teacher recently. She began her career in the arts in Tehran, Iran during her university studies there.

Shahin Ahgheh
Shahin Ahgheh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tehran University in 1970. She did post graduate studies at Fulham College in London where she was introduced to sculpture.

In 1975 Shahin continued her study of sculpture at the Institute de Florissant in Geneva, Switzerland.

On her arrival in the United States, Shahin began studies at California State University Northridge under Professor David Elder.
